Maybe even a series of books that match that description. I've been way to stressed out to read anything serious and I look forward to your suggestions.

I'm assuming you're female and of an appropriate age, if not then this book is not for you. If you are stressed out then you need some humor in your life. I recommend you read "My Horizontal Life", by Chelsea Handler. I laughed non-stop through that book. Chelsea is a comedian and has a show on the Oxygen network. She use to do Girls Behaving Badly. She is sooooo funny.

Without a question, "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. It's a trilogy of about 5 books. You will LOVE it.

Robert Aspirin's "Myth" series, beginning with "Another Fine Myth," is a lighthearted, humorous fantasy series about a boy and his demon mentor. They get more serious about 6 or 7 books in. Anything with "M.Y.T.H Inc." in the title just wasn't as fun and lighthearted as the first ones.

Piers Anthony wrote a loooooooong series (almost 30 novels) called Xanth. The first is A Spell for Chameleon. The first few are light fantasy with a sprinkling of cute puns, but have a coherent plotline. Later in the series, he writes them mainly to cater to his fans and publish their suggestions for puns.

Terry Pratchett writes lots of light, amusing books that fit your description. They're usually fantasty. He has both stand-alone novels like "Small Gods" and "Mort," and also series like "Discworld."

Robert Fulghum wrote several books of anecdotes, most of them funny, a few of them heart-rending but inspiring. Some of his books are "All I Ever Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten," "It was on Fire when I Lay Down on it," and "Uh-Oh."

Erma Bombeck, too, has some nice, funny books of her anecdotes, mostly about being a mother.

Then there's Harry Potter. I'm always amazed at how quickly I chomp through those 600-page books.

in terms of light heartedness. i assume spider-guy is probable the main staple in that admire, besides the reality that its for sure not continually gonna be gentle hearted with this form of huge 'franchise' i assume u could desire to call it. Deadpool is often relaxing to verify. there is like a minimum of three jokes and 5 lifeless bodies in each and every web site. lol. and besides the reality that there is dissimilar killing, the thoughts are almost on no account severe. like between the present sequence Deadpool: Merc with a Mouth, the place he's shriveled by making use of a terrorist team to acquire and guard the severed zombie head version of himself from a dinosaur island, collectively as additionally a rescuing a smoking warm researcher chick working for the terrorist team from primative cave adult males and yet another terrorist team. universal, its merely a relaxing examine, lol.
