did you sign an employment contract???-if not you don't have a leg to stand on-if you did sue him for breach of contract . i:e you agree to carry out certain duties he agrees to pay you for them. if you did sign a contract the "no win no fee" merchants will be qeueing up for your case.-this is assuming your ex-boss has not gone into receivership.

depends why they haven't paid you, most solicitors work on a no win no fee basis and get thier money from costs if you breached your contract you will get nothing

if the amount is small you could try the small claims court. threaten him by saying you'll call the inland revenue. there should be national government offices for this
