Curvy like an hour glass. I disagree with the answer that curves is short-hand for fat. Fat is fat. Marilyn Monroe was curvy, voluptuous. Maybe by today's standards she would be viewed as fat. I'm small and have been too small -boobless even. In the past year I've put on a few lbs. and frankly I get a lot more attention from men than when I was weighing in at 103. I prefer to be curvy. J Lo has a much better figure than Nicole Ritchie....why look like a guy, when you're a girl?

Curves on a girl mean that she has a body with some hips and chest. Her body actually curves it's not straight like a stick.
