You know when they change around characters, scenes, lines, stuff like that in a movie that is based on a book... personally, I feel like I'm being cheated out of a true experience... Well, I think I want to stay below 23,000 points because I keep asking questions! Arg! :-)

Yes, I think it's very frustrating. Especially with Stephen King books/movies. His books are so much better than the movies, I think it's because the books are more intricate and detailed and you use your imagination to picture things a certain way, and when you watch the movie and it's not even close, it's a total let down.
I loved his book "The Stand" and I remember when they had the 5 night miniseries on and it was 5 nights in a row of pure, unadulterated crap. What a disappointment.

Yes, I got frustrated with Queen of the Damned - its nothing like the book and there were huge important parts missing. Also I like the Harry Potter movies, but the latest movie they missed out on Dolby. But its ok its still a good movie. And I hate that they make it look like Hermoine likes Harry. Also Da Vinci Code had some things missing from the book.
Yeah they mess up on Stephen King books. I like Salem's Lot, but Sci-Fi didn't do a good job on the movie.

Sooo angry. Its disappointing because i know they can only fit so much in a movie but its annoying when they change it totally. Like lord of the rings, the ending finishes neatly unlike the book which goes on for another chapter. The power of one, the main characters name is totally different from the book. Harry potter, some of the characters don't even make it in the movies. You expect it like the book and then let down.

You're only being treated out of the true book experience. You are, however, getting the true movie experience out of it. I know many books I enjoy that have been turned into movies & if they stayed true to the book the movie would be 12 hours long. Good luck with the points ...

It seems today that movie makers just can't make movies acording to the book anymore. One of the worst was the movie of Michael Crighton's Lost World. Interestingly enough, most of the most true to the book adaptions that I have seen are the old silent movie versions. This applies to "The Phantom Of The Opera" and "The Legend Of Zorro".

From lots different posts about the e book, its a techniques extra better and the movie has replaced stuff. regularly occurring the books frequently better because commonly the movie is not in any respect stay as authentic to the e book because it is going to. For the most area they do yet they continually look to overlook the better stuff and they upload junk to the movie.

Yes That drives me nuts, when it is completely different, from the book. I remember the first time I noticed it, with one of my favourite childhood books...The Little Mermaid, I took my niece to see it and they completely massacred the ending of the movie. In the book, the mermaid does not live happily ever after with the prince, she is turned into sea foam. It is frustrating, that they mess with the true intentions of the writer.

If its based on a book it doesnt have to stay true to the real story. A book can always tell a better story then a movie anyhow.

I used to. I've come to accept it now.
Firstly, I've realises that film is a different medium and a literal intrepretation of a book isn't always gonna work.
Secondly, I couldn't give a crud if the films crap. If I like the book it should still be there to read it the way I like it.

yes. it's so dumb! i think they should have an accurate detailed idea of what the book is about. people that love the book and the author get mad. i wish that they would just do it correctly, but sometimes it's really hard to get an accurate account of everything.
that's not true! you should want to get really high! you have umlimited things you can do!
peace out. rock on.
