The Norton is $30 more than the McAfee, but both seem to offer the anti virus, firewall and blocks spyware as well as preventing hijackers and identity theft and all that.

Is one any better than the other?

I want to be absolutely sure before I buy.

i was told to stay away from Norton and McAfee was pretty close to Norton. But I did not listen and bought Norton and my computer is way slow. I actually talked to a computer expert who builds web sites the other day and he told me about AVGFREE.com you can get this for free and if you want more it cost just about the same as buying Norton or Mckee and he said that this service works GREAT!! I wish I would have known about this site before I spent $ 80.00 on Norton.Hope this helps.
