toward's his protege' mangini???? Bill replaced Ray Perkins, while Parcells was with (I think the Giants),and he stayed with "the tuna" for all those years and learned (quite a bit I might add)under him, then Mangini scoots for his own head coaching job (which is what everyone's main goal is)after 5 yrs. and Bill's pissed?
I just don't get it? Is there more to this story, that isn't comming out?

I actually know this.
Mangini came in as coordinator for the Pats last year to replace one of their lost coordinators. It was obviously thought to be a solid long-term replacement. But when Mangini got offered the head coaching NYJ job, apparently he didn't handle telling the organization very well, especially Bellichik. In fact, there is suspicion that Mangini was scouting some of the players that the Pats were scouting to take along with him to NY.

It wasn't THAT he left, it was HOW he left.

He is jealous. However, this is a different type of jealousy. It is just like if you were a master and you had a servant and this servant becomes a master and he is now your equal. The original master will feel jealous because he wants to be above his original all the time. Its the same thing here with Bill Belichick. He wants Mangini to work under him all the time.

Maybe his hoodie is cinched down too tight.

He's crotchety, just like Parcells. There's no need for that kind of arrogance.

It's only going to fuel Mangini's desire to stick it to the Pats, ala Mike Shanahan with the Raiders.

Couple of things - the way Bill has a disdain for the Jets already, and the fact that the Jets tampered in the Branch negotiations - strike two!

I think there are probably a number of reasons for Belechiks attitude, the main one being that he is a really egotistical as*hole.
