Well I don't know why a person that's not down on there luck would do it either, unless they like the money or attention. I didn't know people treated all women like that, but maybe it will bet better

I don't see it as an occupation. I see it as a desperate job for a women AND men who don't know how to apply there skills and knowledge in another job. It's not just women though, men do it too although there are more women strippers.
I don't think any person who is a stripper enjoys it. Maybe the odd one, but on average I would assume they don't like it. They are exposing there body for cash. I think some of these women and men are people who (like I said above) don't know how to apply there skills in another job, or they can't find a job and are desperate for money so they can survive.
There are SOME forms of stripping that are more appropriate than others, and could be considered a type of art or dance. I'm talking (and I assume you are too) about the hardcore strippers.

Vaudeville comedy and burlesque in the 1920's was not considered a 'respectable' job until the likes of Charlie Chaplin and Bob Hope came along. Now the two forms of theatre are considered high art.
Stripping is a form of stage performance worthy of respect. It takes creativity, choreography and timing to be a good stripper, not to mention a good body.

Yes, stripping is recognized as a job. Strippers are considered independent contractors. We pay taxes, just like everyone else. Not sure what you mean by pointless occupation. Explain.

I wouldn't say that the media in general labels females as "hoes", but certain groups or individuals.
The attraction for any sort of profession where you're offering your body for pleasure (whether for the eyes, or otherwise) is in the attention. Secondly, it is the great pay that these jobs can often times give for no formal experience or schooling. (That order is sometimes in reverse)
When this is done for money or attention for a groups of people, then its frowned upon - if not immediately, then definitely in the long run. While done in the privacy of one's own home with a boyfriend or girlfriend, this can be a highly valued skill to have. ;)

Yes, I'd consider it a job. They work a legitimate job to earn their money, which is better than gaining money through panhandling or illegal activities.

i think its a brilliant profession, and I'm a tad jealous of girls with so much skill at dancing. If i was 12 years younger, and was able to actually dance, yeh id consider it. i draw the line at the fat ones though eeeeeeewwww.

It isn't a very pleasant job, and it has risks, but it is certainly a form of employment. So yes, stripping is a job.
