Why don't my downloads appear in the downloads window in firefox???

Question

When I'm downloading files through Firefox they don't appear in my downloads window. I have the show the downloads window when downloading a file box checked. I also tried downloading the all in one toolbar to see if that would fix it and nothing. What the hell is going on with Firefox? I think this happened when I upgraded to Firefox 2. Is there anywhere I can download Firefox 1?
