Yes. His movies are legendary and his martial arts skill is unquestionable. I am a big Bruce Lee fan and I believed he was a true martial artist. Not everyone in America believes he was what he said he was, but that's because many consider him to be the greatest and fr some reason, many of us like to tear down those who are considered great. I have many of his books and enjoy reading about his philosophical beliefs.

Adore is a flamboyant word. The clear superiority of a fighting system like that is obvious but in no way broadly mastered. Particularly with the prevailing mindset in our country. It's surprising that the groups that need it most, don't practice it. ( Law enforcement and the military ). As far as Bruce Lee is concerned he is, correct me if I'm wrong, quite widely respected. To the point of a palpable invidiousness by those who don't. Shows how well known he became.

Bruce Lee discovered Tai chi from his father, wing chun From Yip guy, and later created Jeet kune do. He studied factors of many varieties to benefit his very own martial arts information.

Oh, definitely. He was the big daddy that really brought martial arts to our attention--he invented modern-style karate and opened our eyes to all the varieties around the world, like wushu, tai chi, tae kwon do, jujitsu...he was awesome and had a huge impact even though he didn't live very long. That sucks. But for the time he was here, he really impressed and inspired us.

I love him to death along w/ Jackie Chan and Jet Lee. Bruce Lee cracked me up w/ his noises that he made when he fought and my favorite scene is when he was going against that really tall black guy that was super tough w/ the afro.
