If it is something you really want, then go for it.
(I don't really see why age matters)....
Umm things to keep in mind:
If your school has a rule against lip rings, don't get one.
If you scar easily or have had past complications with a lip ring, don't get one.
You will probably be judged by adults since you have a lip ring...so if/when you go for job interviews, etc. be aware that people will be slightly biased.
But I mean, if your parents don't care and you can find a LEGIT shop that will pierce you at 15 then go for it. A lip ring isn't permanent because if you don't like it you can take it out and the hole will close.
But I'd definately tell you to get it done by professionals. Infected lips = Nasty!

I am the Mom of kids who are all adults now who experimented with the tatoo and piercing styles....each and every one of them felt forced to remove the facial rings due to the stigma from furture employers as the look not being professional. So a waste of $ and for one the hole did not heal that well. In addition I have seen an abcessed nose and lip piercing, for both parties they had to be hospitalized for antibiotics and have plastic surgery....so if you are old enough to think you want to do this you should be old enough to look beyond the momentary "collness" this ring will bring.

If you think a lip ring will become a part of you and you are able to care for it, why not?
To others, it will look a bit odd and you might be stereotyped punk or something.
How long do you want the mood ring for? ...If you end up keeping it for life, one day you might become a really successful business woman... with a lip ring! You might not be taken seriously.
It's good that you've researched about it but why don't you talk to somebody who has a lip ring?
Hope this helps :)

Personally, I find that rather unattractive and would advise against it. I am also 15 and would never consider even getting my ears pierced. It isn't fun to watch people eat with a lip-ring in their mouth. Also, it makes the lips look unsanitary. Wouldn't it be awful to get an infection in your mouth? It might be especially annoying if you have braces.

No you'll probably regret it later on. It also may make it difficult for you to get a job because people may judge you before they meet you. I suggest you think long and hard before getting a lip ring.

you really should talk it over with your parents. my parents flipped when i got mine done and i was 21. also, you might want to stick with a 16. because they are smaller, 18s tend to tear your lip easier. any good piercing place will advise you against the 18.
... but its totally worth it. i love mine!

yes, you really should. if you think you have a chance of getting one get it. i got one and im 15. its a good decision so far. but if you get one be sure to clean it alot or you will get an infection in the hole and would cause you to have a surgery and stuff

No....you're so young to have that done on you.. And you'd look trashy. Why get one on the lip. Eeew. If you see Rich girls in Laguna, none of em has Lip Rings. and they look hot and sophisticated and classy at the same time.
