This got to be done indirectly.

Yahoo movie is streamed to your computer and cannot be saved as a file. To put it into your power point, you need to first capture the movie sequence using a movie-screen capture application. Think printscreen but for movies instead.

There are many applications available that does just this. Do a search "screen video capture" on yahoo/google search will display such results. An example is listed below.

You can even specify the window area that you wish for the video to be captured. Replay the Yahoo moive and simultaneously activate the background recoding. Save it in any format you are comfortable with i.e. avi, mov, swf etc and link it from your powerpoint.
