All living things are made up of Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogen so there will be plenty of these in the produce section of the grocery store.
As for compounds try fructose sugar, sucrose sugar, sodium chloride salt, cellulose in the cell walls of fruit and veges.
In the hardware store you can find the metal elements copper, zinc and aluminium.

salt is a compound (NaCl?) ummmmmmmmmmmmmm saturated fats and unsaturated fats are really really long compounds. i would do a google search, u could probably find a nice long list fairly quickly
