Sometimes we do not have to know exactly how someone feels to know they are missing something, that they wish something, that they want something, that they need something. So when you are offered help, it is probably with those ideas in mind, that the person offering can see something, even if it's not completely representative of your deepest feelings.
You're right though. I don't know exactly how you feel. And couldn't, because I am not you.

One can know others feelings intuitively or through psychic powers if one has such a power although these can also be developed.
