TopShop do a boutique and a unique collection...so if you are looking for something a little bit different try there, only larger stores stock the collection but you can view all of the products online.
They have a designer collection called Laura Lees which has really pretty vintage style dresses.
You could even try your local charity shops, there is always good vintage stuff to be found in those...something a little bit more quirky, you never know you might find that perfect outfit...and for under a tenner!

You could mix n match,i.e.get a dress or nice top from a high street boutique and team it with accessories you can find in a second-hand shop e.g. a wide belt or a nice brooch with a feathered cap.you still can look vintage that way.

Oxfam Original is a great place to go (either the stores themselves or their in-store sections). I used to work there and it was all I could do NOT to buy everything :-) Plus you'll be helping someone out :-)
DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT go to Top Shop. You'll only be lining the pockets of some faceless fat cat...

eBay has a "Vintage" section.
Go to eBay, click clothing and then type in vintage (or click the link...)
There are currently over 13,000 items in this section...
Good luck, though I'm sure/I hope... you won't need it!
