I want to buy my husband a new gaming system for Christmas, but i am unsure which one is the best. He loves to play games on our PC but i want him to be able to play in the comfort of our living room. Help please.

Playstation is better then Xbox because they keep the consumer in mind.
Playstation was the 1st video game company to allow you to play old games on new systems. Making so you are not forced to buy a bunch of new games.
Customer Service is excellent and they honor their warranties.
The controls are way more ergonomically correct and they also have better games then Xbox.
PLUS WHO WANTS TO GIVE BILL GATES MORE MONEY. XBOX IS MADE BY MICROSOFT. Nuff said.

Well it depends how much money you want to spend. I wouldn't go for the PS2 or the original Xbox because if he enjoys playing online then there isn't going to be as many people playing on those systems anymore. But if you have the money i suggest waiting for PS3. It is not going to be outdated for a long long time and you won't have to pay for online gaming while you have to pay about $60 a month for 1 year. It adds up quickly and in the end you are paying about the same for PS3 as you are for XBox 360 but you are getting a lot more for PS3.

XBOX 360 IS BY FAR THE BEST GAME SYSTEM. Its games are probably the best i've ever seen and they are the most fun to play. Gears of War, Halo 1, 2, and soon 3, FEAR, and many more to come out. your best bet is to go with the 360

BTW, the person who stated the ps3 came out today is wrong, it comes out the 17th of November (in US).

PS2's generally have more games but Xbox 360 has better graphics. Xbox is old.

I woud prefer the PS2 but XBOX and 360 are just as good. PS2 is cheaper. I would try asking him without telling him what you are getting him if it a suprise.

the average computer game would be a shooter game which is more likely to be 1st person and the Xbox and Xbox360 is all about FPS (1st person shooters). so it will be like a computer game and the 360 is the one with the newer games so i say get the 360

Hello!
Ok I love the playstation 2! now you can get a slim playstation for like 130.00.
Xbox 360 is nice but its like 400.00 way to much...
