I would choose names that relate to success as an adult. I would think a cute name could be detrimental as an adult. How many people are CEO's of Fortune 500 companies with "cute" names? Choose a name your child will be proud of. If it's a boy perhaps name him after his father and let him be a Jr.
There is a good chapter in the book "Freakanomics" that discusses names. It's very interesting.

Garian, Luthe, Mathias, Caspian...for boys. Aerine (Pronounced -aireen) Sandry, Ninoc, Ce'Nedra...for girls. When I look for unique but cute names, I search some of my favourite books. They have some wonderful names that are very pretty. Good Luck!

Jasmine, April, Rose, Hayley or Emerald for girls. Jeremiah, Clay, Hayden, Damien or Slade for boys
Sterling, Stacey, Tracey or Dakota for either gender.
You might do like I did and combine grandparent's, aunt's uncle's or friends names to make one. My oldest daughter is Marilee, combo of mine & my siter's names.
Congratulations on your pregnancy & whatever name you choose will be great!! God Bless you & yours too!

Well...I'll give you the names we had picked out for our baby.
We named her Peyton Alexis. She is the only Peyton we know in the area we live in.
We also liked Malia, Faith, Marina, and Kaelynn.
For boys we liked Trace, Dane, Owen and Cooper.
I hope you have fun picking out your baby's name, it is very fun, however, it's also very hard! Good luck!
