I am really close to one of my teachers and sometimes it amazes me how close we are to each other. Like I was talking to her today and she finished my sentence for me like she knew and this isn't the first time that I have felt really close to her. Lets just say that I do more for her then my fellow students(not perverted!!) like I help her out with stuff during class. I was just wondering what are the chances that she feels close to me at times too and have you ever felt really close to a student as a teacher or as a teacher to a student? Thanks

No one thinks that there is more going on, because there isn't anything going on, if someone thinks that we both will be in trouble.

I DON'T LIKE HER LIKE THAT SHE IS MARRIED AND I AM COMMITED IN A REALTIONSHIP AND WE ARE THE SAME SEX AND I THINK THAT IS WRONG SO IT IS NOT AN ISSUE OF LIKEING HER LIKE THAT.

I understand what you mean. You have great respect for your teacher is what I feel you are trying to say. Your teacher knows you well because she helped turn your empty mind into an open so she knows your line of thinking. Though I have never been in that situation I am happy to hear that you are able to connect to an educator like that. It'll definatly help you in the future with University have someone who has gone through the whole process and such. Go forth and live a good life.

I think there's nothing wrong with a teacher serving as a mentor and an inspiration for a student. However, you can't let your student/teacher relationship cross the line between appropriate and inappropriate behavior. We have all had crushes on teachers at one time or another (I had one on my high school Spanish teacher), but it can't go any farther than that. Chances are, your teacher just thinks of you as a bright, helpful student who has a really good future ahead. You should always keep in touch with this teacher if she has touched your life in a profound way or made you realize your own potential, but I'm afraid it can never be more than that, or else you'll both really be in a lot of trouble. (Remember Mary Kay Letourneau, who had a baby with her 12-year-old student and then went to jail? Or what about on Dawson's Creek when Pacey and his English teacher had a thing going on and she had to leave town before she got fired! You can't jeopardize her reputation and her career that way.)

I am really close to my gym teacher. He is so cool and has been my coach for cross country and softball for the past three years so we have grown to be like family. He treats me almost like a sister. He has even been invited to family parties(dont think im strange). We are just so close. And I am going to a new school next year so i can't imagine school without him...he even emails me and i email him(on the school email address) with problems so he can help me out of a bad situation.

Oh please don't go there. Just be teacher and student
at a most respectful level. Students should not cross the line where infatuations of your teachers are concerned. It's normal to some degree and leave it there.
