Is there somewhere (a book, website, etc) that has a collection of interviews or quotes or things where they record the thoughts of of schizophrenic people? I've found things like this in psychology text books, but they were just brief excerpts, maybe a paragraph long. If you've ever read something that was written or spoken by a schizophrenic person, you know how wacky they can be. I find these things interesting. Is there a place where I could just read a bunch of schizophrenic writings or look at their drawings or something?

I need something good like that too, and about panic disorder and depression as well, coz there's going to be a scenario on my final exam this week with things related to those three things and we're asked to read it and diagnose the person in it, and explain why we chose as we did.... It's not even a clinical type class either but I'm excited to do that bit of the test.

That "A Beautiful Mind" book doesn't count coz it mostly isn't the ill person's viewpoint. So don't bother with that one.

You could try going to the library and looking for books with case studies; ask for help if you can't find them by yourself. You can Google for these things and something will come up if you pick a good page and visit all the links on it.

I feel a bit offended. My sister is schizophrenic, and I really hate the stereotype associated with her disorder.

What she does is not wacky. It's actually very creative, very original, very much different from most people. I hope there isn't a website out there that is the kind you are looking for, unless it's someone's own writings and drawings.

Or at least a collection that shows their work for the genius that it is.
