A pure chemical compound always contains same elements combined together in same definite proportion by weight, irrepective of its source or method of preparation.
U can prepare H2O by various methods but in every H2O, ratio of weights of H & O is same i.e. 2:16
Also it may be rain H2O or tap H2O.
