By far Celine Dion for a female. However, Jewel also has a nice version and so does Charlotte Church.
For a male, I would have to say Josh Groban or the young Billy Gilman. Both have amazing, powerful voices.
It's all your personal preference!

The best i've every heard it was my sister choir in high school they sang it in English and then in Latin. It was beautiful. I've never seen a crowd so hushed and people crying when they sang.
But for the oldies. I have to Nat King Cole and Bing Crosby. Newer verison. Celion Dion and Tevin Cambell. That just have the ablity to sing the notes and bring you into the song.

Believe it or not: Jessica Simpson That is my favorite Christmas song. Always has been. I have heard 100s of versions. All are good but hers is the best!

Nobody needs to go with me on this I can stand alone on this, but I like Lee Greenwood's version the best. It may have to do with not hearing very well and I can understand the words to it better than any other performer.
