This fat guy at stop and shop called me a asshole because me and my friend wiere playing catch and by accident i hit him in the head. he yelled"what are you doing u jerk" and i yelled "watch were your walking next time u fat peice of sh1t" he nows my mom and told her now im grounded for the the rest of the week was i wrong to fight backa nd call him that?

Well.. yes and no. Playing catch in or around the store is probably inevitable that someone would eventually get hurt/hit. Its not nice to call others names and he started it by calling you a jerk. However sometimes you shouldnt stoop to others level and do the name calling back. I guess first of all the store is a public place, not a play ground. If you are on the play ground or in a field playing catch, someone walks up, its a good possiblity for them to get hit and they should know that. In a store, where people are around, its not normal for people to get hit by any object. So I can see how he was startled by this as well. So.... I think you both were wrong in the name calling. He started it and you continued it. You both were acting on impulse. Sometimes its just best to think before you act or react.

2 wrongs never make a right. He should have not called you a name. You should have not called him one either. You should have told him you were sorry and asked if he was ok. Think about it. What would you have said if you just got beamed by a ball in the head? Sorry but, mom was right. next time maybe you will think about how you handle yourself. Be the better person.

It was an accident but you were wrong to call him a name. Even though you are younger, be the bigger person and just say that it was an accident and you are sorry instead of sinking to his level.

well in a way yes because you hit him who would'nt be mad at that but he was wrong for calling you an @$$hole. there was no need to call you a jerk all he had to say was watch where you are playing.
