I have to swim tomorrow and my period just started. It is significant but not enough to wear a tampon. I have a white bathing suit and my mom says I am lying even though I am totally not. How can I avoid disaster?

Why would your mom think you were lying about something like this? Does she think you just want to get out of swimmimg or what?
Wear the tampon, it won't kill you. Also, there are tampons that are size slender regular and they would probably be perfect for this type of situation.

it is advisable to just use a tampon while swimming tomarrow.
Just insert it right before you put your suit on and remove it as soon as you are ready to change back into your normal clothes.
It will not hurt you in any way or cause you and physical harm.
This way, you are certain to have no mishaps or disasters..
I know when you are young, tampons can seem scary. There are health risks, just like with most everything in the world, but they are very slight and very, VERY uncommon. You have more of chance of drowning in the pool than you do having anything happen by using a tampon for a short period of time tomarrow.

My advice...Wear a tampon!!!! I know what it's like not to wear one...and then I wished I did after everyone seen a blood stain on my swim suit. If it's not horrible then just get a junior tampon...small enough so you don't notice it...but big enough to handle the job. And please please please don't wear a white swim suit. That's got CAUTION written all over it. Not good!
Haha, my mom didn't believe me once either. Do what I did...put bloody tampons all over the house...and be like "DO YOU BELIEVE ME NOW!?!?!?!"

well my first suggestion would put on o tampon and well if you can put a pad on and put underwear on even if you are in a bathing suit and well also you can talk to your coach maybe he/she will understand.
