Well 8 people have answered so it must mean something to them. Don't know what though. Being one of the eight, I should be able to give you an insight but I can't. God, I wish I was dead.

No. A question mark does not count as a point. If you had asked "Is there really any point to this question." There would have been. But your question would have been grammatically incorrect. That the font used is 14 point and I get 2 points for answering is factual but pointless. You therefore have your answer. Or if not, at least I have pointed you in the right direction.

There is a point to any question. To question is to gain knowledge. Different people interpret different questions in many different ways. The fact that you have gained many responses to this question, has given it validity.
Other issues to consider is, were you bored? And could you not think of a question to ask? Or did you just ask this question to see just how many people would answer it? Whatever your reason, you got alot of people involved, therefore, a point has been made. Is this a genuine question? Or are you just having a crazy moment? What does it matter. Its been intriguing to see the content of peoples' answers lol!

Philosophically yes there is as you are asking the point of a question and that in itself is a very good point. The point could possibly be that there is actually no point but your acceptance of the answer that there is no point could invariably mean there is a really good point to it!
