I am looking for a freeware network messaging program which i can run on my home network.

not windows live messenger etc...

i.e. i have got 3 computers 1. eMachinesMCE 2. ADMIN01 3. ACERNOTEBOOK all on the same workgroup and all run XP (different versions) acernotebook and admin01 run xp home and emachinesMCE runs media center 2005

i want to, for example, be able to send a message from admin01 to Dave only (when logged in) on acernotebook, and to kelly on acernotebook.

anyone know of any software

AND JUST IGNORE ALL THE MIDDLE DETAILS. THEY ARE THERE FOR THE TECCHIES ONLY WHO WANT ALL THE INFO

Install any LAN messenger on every PC in the workgroup, they detect each other in LAN. You can chat, send files and messages without these "msg", "net send" commands.
