In many cases it is because they were not taught to believe.
What we are taught as a child, especially before the age of five, is an extremely important part of who we are.
If they are not introduced to religion until they are older, or if their parents do not believe in God, or if they see religion in their home as a source of conflict rather than serenity.... they are always going to be more likely to reject religion.
The point is that religion WITHOUT FAITH is useless.

well for starters...you need to fix your grammer
why are there people that don't beleive in God?
the reason is simple, there just is no proof, I can't beleive blindly in something that cannot be proven to be a truth or a fact
Let's put it this way
I used to beleive in Santa Clause...as most children do....I started questioning it...I starting thinking things like:
This whole Santa thing just doesn't make sense.....why all the secrecy? why all of the mystery? if the guy exsists why doesn't he ever show himself to prove it?
AND if he doesn't exsist.....what's the whole meaning of all this?
then I started to think, wait, this is a religious holiday to right?
but can't those same questions also be applied to God as well
So that means Santa and God are the same person
Which means they are both made up to make children and other under-developed minds behave
It's a good thing that some people are smart enough to be good without needed to worry about going to hell
as an added note: The whole Crusades thing that I read about also made me beleive that God was a beleif that was forced on the people.

How DARE belivers in god suggest I am wrong because I dont share the same opinion as them!!!! They are entitled to believe whatever they want..but DONT say I am wrong simply because I choose not to beleive in a god.
Equally, why do some people believe in god? Who knows? Maybe because they need specific guidelines in life?
People also used to believe the Earth was flat.

10 Reasons why people don't believe in Jesus and the Bible
1. I can think about this some other time We do not know the day nor hour that God will call us. It is dangerous putting off the decision to follow God. Eternity is a very long time.
2. I have committed too many sins for God to forgive me The Bible says that all have sinned. God can forgive any sin.
3. There are too many hypocrites at churches Don't let that drive you away from God. We will all be held accountable for our lives.
4. Christians have hurt me in the past Christians are not perfect and still can sin. God wants us to forgive others when they sin against us.
5. I'm trying to be a Christian We can never try enough to be a Christian. We are saved by the grace of God by our faith in Him.
6. God is too good to send anyone to hell God is separate from sin and can not be with sinners. It is by Jesus' death on the cross that he took the payment for our sins that we can be in His presence. By rejecting Jesus we are rejecting God's way of making us clean. We choose hell or in other words our punishment and separation from God.
7. Jesus was a great philosopher and not God During Jesus' ministry he did not say he was a good man or philosopher. He came to save which was lost. His purpose from the beginning was to redeem sinners.
8. The Bible has some good stories but is not all correct The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit to men. If any of the Bible is wrong then it discredits all. We would be free to pick and choose how we would want to live according to our standards if this was the case.
9. Religion is a private matter and should not be forced on others Before Jesus went back to heaven He said for His followers to make disciples and baptize them. All Christians are called to share their faith in obedience to God.
10. I believe what I believe This is also called relativism. It goes like this: What you believe is fine if it is right for you. God's truth is unchanging. What we each believe is not important. What the Bible teaches as truth is important.

The real question should be "Why do some believe in God"
You give me a good reason why I should, & I will give 5 reasons why I should not.
Think before you ask me. Take a look at history / life / today / before asking me the question. Think of war / famine / crime / love and passion .............. then ask me the question.
You WILL get 5 back to every one.
Hope this "conversation " will help you.

Well thats a bit of a loaded question, but I honestly think that if Christianity (modern) wasn't bent on shoving it down people throats, less people will be going that way.
I will say that to me, faith is blinding, in good ways and bad. Faith is believing in something without proof that it does. And at least for my case, threatening that my soul is going to hell just isn't cutting it any more.

I can't explain that, but I know that we had to come from somewhere. just look around yourself and see God is real. who made the stars, the rivers, the trees, the birds, when in trouble who comes to our rescue? I could go on and on the fact is He is real and if you don't believe now you can bet that one day you will call on Him. I don't understand why people don't believe.

because everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.
I for one am a scientific person and as a result would like some irrefutable evidence before making a decision.
