The same way most races did when coming to America (at will or against their will) By bringing the culture of there land with them and eventually mixing it with American customs. Almost all of the slaves were able to bring with them were the things they remembered from their homeland (ways of praying/worshiping, dancing, memories, food recipies, and an occasional musical instrument) As time went on these things were eventually mixed with the ways of the new American culture forming at the time.

It is unfortunate that the African customs came to America the way they did but theres no doubt their ways contributed a great deal to our American Culture, just another sweet spice in the American Melting Pot.

i don't think of that Hip Hop supplies African individuals their custom, even with the undeniable fact that it does play a solid area in it. African American background is wealthy with astounding historic past, Poets, Artists, instructors, Inventors, Painters, i'd desire to pass on and on...African American custom is an an significant and crucial area of yankee historic past, with out it we would be the poorer.
