Why do the loony left side with palestine?

Some people really need to read up on history.The land occupied by israel was home to the israelites long before palestin ever existed.The land awarded to the israelis by the british was wasteland that the backward palestinians werent interested in.Yet now they pretend its a geopolitical issue when really we all know its racial.Palestine is sponsored by iran and syria to be a thorn in the side of their enemy.Israel built up a strong , democratic ,civilised country from the ashes while the rest of the jealous middle east still wipes their arses with sand.The democracy is surrounded by crazed dictatorship terrorist state enemies, that it has managed to fend off since its first existance.
Recentlly as a peaceful gesture israel handed back the gaza strip after disgorging its own people as a noble gesture of peace.The palestinians respond with rocket and terror attacks!And when israel responds with the right to defend herself , the bbc shows fake doctors carry children covered with ketchup

You are right sadly many on the left have taken in by a biased perception of events in the middle east. Israel is a democratic state which wishes to exist in peace but its neighbours will not except its existence. It is continuously attacked by terrorists yet is criticised for fighting back yes sometimes Israel is heavy handed but it has been pushed and pushed. Yes the land was given to them by the British in 1948 sadly it was to late for many Jews who were sent back to Europe in the Thirties in breach of the Balfour Declaration and so many could have been saved from the Holocaust. The Palestinians could have had a state if its leadership had accepted the Oslo agreement but the truth is the extremists are motivated by anti semitism and want to wipe Israel of the map and so keeping peace loving Palestinians down . So these misguided left wingers are chanting victory to the destruction of democracy!

Because after having fought a war against the loony right in Germany (3rd Reich - Hitler) the allies (aka Winners - with the exception of the USSR) suddenly became the loony right themselves. Israel was created as a result of guilt feelings because the intervention against the 3rd Reich was much too late. Israel then rapidly joined the loony right and set about persecuting the Palestinians and making arms deals with South Africa (which was also part of the loony right under Botha). The Palestinians had no-one, so it was left to the loony left to support their cause.
Hope that's clear. I have to say it's not clear to me. This problem has influenced world politics since 1948 and there aren't that many Israelis and no that many Palestinians. Too many lobbies at work. Wheels within wheels.

The BBC and newspaper media reports have not been giving a balanced account of what has been going on in the middle east we only get the editors or directors opinion which is possible to do with arab money for advertising or sponsorship. even a British football club like Arsenal is now call Emirates.
Last week we did see the coverage or the palestinian rocket firers held up in a mosque in Gaza when the Israeli army tried to flush them out the mosque the local radio call all women and children to form a human sheild what sort of cowards are they that they have no reguard for their own people let alone the Israelis.
Now Hezbollah are arming themselves again in Lebanon and will no doubt set up their rocket launchers amongst the civilians even though the peace keeping forces are based there.
The Israelis will be blamed when it kicks off again.

Face it: palestine and israel both just want their holy land. it's not about who's right and wrong because if it were, one of these "civilized" nations would have given up long ago and said "the blood of my people is not worth a piece of the earth." The B.B.C. is very biased against Israel, but it would be, as it is run by a load of lefties, The Palestinians are a lazy lot who are jealous of Israels wealth, and expect the world to subsidise them. Israel has made a lot of concessions towards the peace process, but the Palestinians still refuse to recognise this fact. The Palestinians are a nation of sheep like people who follow the mad mullah's rhetoric of terrorism and conflict. When Israel defends its self they are constantly being portrayed as the bad boys. When we went into Iraq we were not defending ourselves were we? So who has the moral ground then?

It's not just the left, loony or not. There are many Israelis who disagree with the brutal treatment of the Palistinians. Some of the conscripts are brave enough to defy orders to serve there. Benyamin Netanyahu's (spelling?) son was one of them. Check your facts and you'll find that it was not the British that awarded the land to anyone, they only administered it according to international agreement, and the Balfour declaration allowed originally for the creation of two states. It was the Jews that would not accept that and who murdered British soldiers. Why don't you take your head out of your **** and see what's been going on.
