Once again, you do the same thing for the 3x – 7 = 2x + 8 question.
. 4(7x + 10) = 3(9x – 5) + 20
Look above. Decimal. This fun.
1. Use Distribution Property
.4(7x)+.4(10) = 3(9x) -3(5) +20
2. Simplify
2.8x+4=27x-15+20
3. Simplify again.
2.8x+4=27x+5
4. Now we move everything as accordimg to Equality Property.(refer to 3x-7=2x+8 problem)
2.8x+4-4=27x+5-4
5. Now do the same with x.
2.8x-27x=1+27x-27x
6. Simplify
-24.2x=1
7. This is going to be negative. Now divide
x=-1/24.2
You cant go any farther so, the answer is:
-1/24.2
If you were to divide it for some unknown reason and to get a very stupid endless answer... It would be:
-0.0413223140495866776859504132231405
This is as easy as pi ( and no i did not mean "pie"). It goes and on and on. So stick with -1/24.2.
Hope this helps~!

distribute both the .4 and the 3.
1. 2.8x + 4 = 27x - 15 + 20
subtract 27x from both sides and subtract 4 from both sides.
2. 2.8x - 27x = -15 - 4 + 20
combine the terms
3. -24.2x = -19 + 20
4. -24.2x = 1
divide both sides by -24.2
5. x = -0.04132
