If she is a true friend, then asking her whether these rumors are true should not permanently damage your friendship. If she says that she has gossiped once or twice, try and cool it off with her but do not stop being friends with her altogether. Someone who owns up to their faults is not worth losing. If she says no, take her word for it and next time you hear a rumor investigate the source further. If you find out she is lying in the end, drop her. You do not need friends like that.

Talk to her calmy. The reason is because sometimes people are jealous and try to break up good friends. So u need to go to her and tell her what u are hearing and say that u really hope it isn't true due to it would really hurt to know my bff is talking about me.If she doesn't own up to it then at least u will make her feel bad enough to quit. Because most likely if she is she isn't going to admit it. Good luck

your doing the right thing if you decide to confront her. but be careful, you don't want to upset her just in case what their saying is not true. try not to let what other people are saying stick with you. when you confront her have an open mind. if you are truly best friends, then you will know if she is lying or not.

be tactful. and good luck.

well this seems like a long term friendship and you really should confront your friends.... in a nice way.
don't just go up to them and be like Are you talking about me behind my back? in a rude way.
you should say "People are saying that your saying bad things about me behind my back. Is this true?" and if she is then she's not a very good friend, and you should kick her to the curb!!!

She probably IS saying bad stuff about you. Confront her if you really care, but she'll prob just deny it. otherwise, you may want to distance yourself from her and not tell her so much. You don't need that negativity in your life
