Sounds like you'll start sometime soon. I'd wear a panty liner, hardly noticeable but will provide some protection.

Wear a panty liner if you think you might start or keep a pad and a fresh pair of underwear in your locker or back pack. That way if it does happen you will be prepared.

Since you were aware enough to notice the changes you are already having, it's probably pretty safe to say that you will know when your period starts.

Good luck, hope this helps

Well I am not sure that your period will strart in a year exactly, but it will probably start soon.

pack a pad with you, and if you feel something running out of you, go check. Usually it will not be like a huge amount at first anyway. I started at school and didn't have nothing to use, but I made it until I got home without even messing up my pants. So it shouldn't be too bad.

no i got my period in school and im 14 now so if you get it in school it wount come puring out, if you think you'll start it go to the bathroom once during every class, bring stuff with you in your backpack and if yiou see you have started put in a pad, it wont be so bad itll leak through, youd have to be pretty heavy to leak through your pants and get op stuff, you underwear will just be dirty, but just keep checking it. it happened ot me and it wasnt that bad. so dont wear a pad with out a period. and no the thing your firend told you may be relativly true but dont count on it at all i had no discharged before i started my period, just like a few days before. dont go on that i dont know where it came from!
good luck

You'll know when you get your period, it definitly won't go so far as to leak through and leave a mess in class. If you notice feeling really damp down there, best to go to the bathroom and check. It'll really help ease your mind to wear pantyliners, they're really thin and you can't notice them. Ask your mom or a trusted friend to get some for you.

don't even worry about, keep a pad in your locker if you want but you will feel your period coming. Your stomach will start to feel crampie and you can feel leaking unto your panties. 13 is a normal age to start your period, but it'll happen when it happens, you could be sleeping or in P.E. class but you gotta remember to stay calm. Half the female in your school have their periods, and they don't stress over, neither should you,

I would tuck a clean pair of underwear, a plastic zip lock bag and a panty liner/pad in your purse or backpack. If it starts, you can put your used underwear in the zip lock bag and put the clean ones on with the panty liner or pad. It sounds like you may start soon, but you just never know.

no! if you wear a pad like that it'll be soooo uncomfortable! i'm also thirteen and i just started my period. and yes, i got it in school. don't worry. you'll know when you have it, you'll feel like you're leaking. if you are wearing white pants and have been having cramps then you could consider the pad, but the most important thing is to have one with you!

You will probably get your period soon but don't worry for the most part periods start in the morning (when you get up).
