They charge about 45.00 an hour. Also, the teachers teach 3 students at a time. The really sad part (which doesn't affect you but I need to say it) is that they require certified teachers to teach, but they only pay them $9.00 and hour!!! How INSULTING! That is why the turnover is so high there. I hear that Sylvan works, but it would be better if you spent 25-35 an hour for a private tutor (certified teacher) to teach your child one-on-one. You could ask your child's school if there is anyone that tutors outside of school.

Well, my daughter paid $55.00 per hour in So. California. It depends on where you are as to what the charge is for tutoring. You would have to call a Sylvan office in your area to find out.

A friend of mine took her kid a couple of years ago and they wanted something like 48.00USD per hour!
Theyre expensive.

I am not sure, but I think you have to sign a contract. It states that you agree to send you child there for so long at a certain price.
