Looking for some ideas...I've already done Gifts in a Jar and knitted scarves last year. Age range I'm looking at: two college students, a high schooler, and grandparents.

How about some different soaps & some facecloths....I have been knitting/crocheting some face cloths out of peaches'n creme cotton
in some lacey patterns & then wrapping them around some handmadesoap
I found at my local baazar...You could also make up a basket of small
items for them, say a small hand towel, bath salts, soap, lotions, etc..Maybe at the local discount store, you could buy in large amount & be able to divide it up for all
My fave store..Bath 'n body.. has some nice sales on stuff above plus
a small candle might be appreciated, too

What a great idea!
I make crocheted angels for the tree top. I have also taken white feathers and small natural colored beads and made angels with them. I decorate the bead like a face -using paint pens. I then take 2-3 feathers and put then into the bead from the bottom up-to form a skirt. Then I take 2 feathers and place them in the bead -from the top -to form the wings. I take a glitter pipe cleaner and cut it down so that it fits around the top of the bead for a halo. I use a white pipe cleaner and glue it to the back, bringing them around to the front to make arms. Then I glue a ribbon bow under the arms, with the tails of the bow streaming down.
They look nice on a Christmas tree.

Some easy items that I have made for Christmas presents are... *Bird Houses- Go to your local home improvement store and buy 4-6 or 8" depending on the size you want, clay pots with the saucer. This is usually less than $2.00 for each. With a masonary hole saw cut a hole in the side of the pot, then using a masony bit small, but large enough for twine to go through, drill four holes on the saucer evenly spaced like you have foour corners of a box. Using twine have 4 pieces long in length, tie a knot in one end and place the pot at the knot(like a macrame plant hanger), then place the saucer on top or the pot like a roof and thread the twine through the holes. Make sure you bring the 4 pieces back together and tie a loop for hanging. You can get creative with the knots in the twine or just a simple hanging knot. You can also be creative with painting the pots as well. TOTAL COST $3. each depending on size of pot * Hanging Bird bath- Using just a clay saucer drill holes and run twine or wire through. The saucer sides are a good place for drilling the hole with this one. I made these using 16" clay saucers that were about TOTAL COST $6.00 each * Shell wind chime- Your local 99cent or dollar store should have bags of shells or if you live near the beach that is even better. For the top use a larger shell and drill a hole in the top. Run your twine, wire or fishing line through the hole in the bottom of the pot(now the top)creating a loop for hanging and knot so it will not go through. Make sure you have at least 5-6 pieces running down. drill small holes in the shells and thread through the hanging twine/wire/line. What I found works best is a big shell on one the ecnter string then smaller shells about 3" apart along the outside strings. TOTAL COST $3.00 each *Candle holder- From your dollar store you can buy glass jars or vases. Using glass paints paint a scene on the outside of the glass. I have found the stained glass paints work great for this because the light can shine through the paints. Buy dollar store candles and place inside. TOTAL COST $2.00 each *Cappuccino or hot cocoa in a jar- Again from your dollar store buy jars with lids. You can paint the outside or not. With the lid I used a small amount of batting and covered with a piece of faux suede and guel gunned it in place. Using ribbon I trimmed the edge. I then painted a scen on the glass of a steaming cup of cocoa and then painted the words Hot Cocoa.I then filles the jars TOTAL COST $2.00 each Have Fun and I hope some of these help you out!

I went to the dollar store and bought 3 picture frames. I drilled 2 holes in the top and two holes in the bottom (except for the third one which only had holes in the top) I then use ribbon or jute to tie them together so they hang one under the other, at the top you make a hanger by putting the ends of one piece of ribbon through each hole at the top. I have found that threading the ribbon from behind and tying big knots in the front looks decorative. Braided jute looks really nice and is cheap . . .

I"ve also painted plain wooden dollar store frames with poster paint (also from the dollar store) and decorated with those glass pebbles and bent wire (into cury-cues)

Here is something I did last year and everyone really liked it.
I made Christmas CDs for everyone. I burned about two dozen Christmas songs - from various artists onto cds for my friends and family. I put a family picture on each one for the label. Printed out the names & artists to put in the cases. Tied a green ribbon around each one. They loved them and a few of them told me they have already pulled it out to listen to this Christmas!

Make ornaments. I love to make those and hand them out. Especially since I am a collector of ornaments.

Good luck.
