I would especially like you to have a cake with black icing and red velvet cake. I want to have this kind of wedding but just don't have the nerve. So I have to live my dream through yours.

I'm married but you can do what you wish with the GROOM's cake; I had a pineapple filled cake with vanilla & stawberry frosting. On the ribbon I had written "Congratulations Anna & El Santo Gordo", which is my e-mail name & my secret delight, being Mexican wrestlers/"lucha libre". It was only after people read the cake's ribbon that they knew I had actually done what I promised to do.

As I wrote this my wife mentioned two things:

1. It's your wedding, have it Goth if you like; don't worry about the people who gripe, because they don't love you. And if your fiance won't stand up with you on this you're both in trouble.

2. If you want total control, make it a cake made of layers/stacks of cupcakes made in chocolate with red velvet.

Good luck to both of you & if it happens you can send US a invitation.

God Bless!

Jaime (and Anna over my shoulder)

If You marry me I'll get the Goths out in force and You can have whatever wedding cake You want. Let me know soon though, I'm a busy man and I don't have a lot of time to rally Goths and cake bakers. You don't have the nerve? Ya right!!!!!
