Yes this is true, why is the question. It has to do with the structuring of our society.Here in Aussie you have to pay taxes, though people find ways and loop holes in the law, so they paid less tax, are they criminals ? Also if you harm a person while they are breaking into your house you can be charged with assault, who is the criminal ? Also if you find a lost child in a shopping centre and take them by the hand to security to find their parents, you can be charged with interfering with the child, who is the criminal ?

The war on drugs campaign led to more restrictions and new laws meant to combat the american "drug problem", and now a large proportion of people in state prisons are there on drug charges.
Laws created due to the temperance movement (prohibition), led to the creation of illegal alcohol "runners", speakeasies (sp?), and generally the rule of the mob in large cities (Al Capone in Chicago).
Laws that restrict immigration have led to massive amounts of illegal immigrants etc.

I agree. 1. If they made more laws then the things that were once legal would not and people don't adapt fast. Crud that really sums it up. You can use that in your homework. You'll need two more though.

however my first point is the same as ^above...
1. people do not adapt fast to more laws
2. people like to rebel aqainst laws when anqry at officials for whatever reason like a child with his parent... and
