it is basically hopeless im sorry to tell you. i have been dancing for 10 yrs almost 11 and let me tell you, it takes a lot of hard work and alot of time to get your splits. It would take about a month at least. The best thing you can do is hamstring streteches, and do your splits even if it hurts, that is the fastest way to get you down. Be sure to point your toes , it helps to strengthen and lenghten your muscles. Good Luck w/ this, You will need it! if you need help w/ anything else just ask :)

stretch for half an hour every 3-4 hours every day and i'm sure you'll get them. if you're ever reading a book or doing home work just sit on the floor and stretch, it's like multitasking!
if you have any relaxing music play it while you stretch and take really deep breaths, it's supposed to help a lot
by the way, don't force yourself to go into the splits, you could pull a muscle and that would be even worse. gradually push yourself small amounts at a time

this is what my dance teacher does to help us stretch it is kinda confusing but ill try to explain it as best as i can.take something that is not soft or squishy and make sure it is a few inches above ground level and put one foot on it and do the splits as far down as u can with your foot on it and play a song or whatever and hold it there until the song is over.then switch legs and do it again.it hurts but its a good stretch.after you are done then try doing your splits without it,it should be a lot better.if you think it works then do it all 5 days until u can do the splits without stretching so much

I have been dancing for 10 years now. And when I learned how to do a split is I sat on a pillow when I woke up and before I went to sleep. And you stretch on a pillow.... I hope this helps

although it didnt work on me(it worked on alot of my friends) try 2 get sum1 to pop yor leg. by that i mean the both of you sit on the floor across from each other with outstretched leg(wider than a 'v' if possible) the other person then put their foot on the inside of your ankle. the other person then pull you will pushing your leg outwards at the same time.
i hope you understand it.
