Most medical schools don't have a minimum GPA or MCAT score requirement, but they will tell you what the average scores are for their students. Most schools range from a 3.5-3.9 GPA. The MCAT scores range from high 20's to mid 30's.
Different medical school have different classes that they require, but generally it is 2 semesters of biology, 2 semesters of general chemistry, 2 semesters of organic chemistry, 2 semesters of physics (all of these have to have a lab component as well), and most schools require a semester of calculus, and 2 semesters of English.
You should have a range of extra activities. Some suggestions:
Research
Volunteering
Internships
Clubs
Fraternity or Sorority

If you are in high school , you will want to take all of the science and math classes that are available to you. If you are in college you should consider speaking with your academic advisor about a pre-med curriculum. Most colleges offer this program. You should take your ACT's and try to score 24 or higher. Keep in mind that you will need a bachelor's degree prior to being accepted into a doctorate program. You will have to take the MCAT's, which is a very difficult exam and score well on this. Once you have all of this completed you should be accepted into a medical school where you will earn your doctorate's degree and depending on the type of physician you want to become you will finally be looking at a residency program that can be anywhere from 3-8yrs. in length. The important thing is to try to keep your grades as high as possible, score pretty high on the ACT and communicate with the school you are interested in. A lot of them will encourage you along the way and will let you know exactly what it is that you have to have in order to be accepted. I hope this information will help you. Good Luck from another pre-med student.
