sounds like hernia, does it hurt when you cough? if so prob a hernia. get it checked out by the dr. what happens is when you tense up to lift the weight the pressure inside your abdomen increases and if this does too much and causes damage to the muscles of your abdomen you get a hernia

hi there my partner has been training for, 25 years, and is a personal trainer and he asked me to ask you how much are you lifting? as strenous work on one muscle too often with little rest between sessions will lead you into endorsing that muscle group, without knowing how much you have lifted you have probably lifted one side higher off the bench than the other, causing a twist in the side as your lifting. again, if you post' more information i will advise you further! thanks

A pain in your hip should not result from bench pressing. Bench pressing should help grow your pectoralis major, and your triceps brachii, and your anterior deltoids. I would suggest you relevaluate your workout and figure out which exercise is hurting you. I would stop doing that exercise and begin doing it with less weight when the pain stops.

if it bulges in your side, it could be a hernia and if you don't bring that to your doctor then the rip will get bigger and you will die
