It's because all the kids there have no fashion sense at ALL and are forced to buy what everyone else is buying...maybe it makes them feel like they fit in? All the kids at my high school do too, but I get major compliments by not wearing the same freakin' thing everyone else does...email me if you want.

Everyone in your school are probably young and more of the relaxed type, which all these stores offer. You can actually take advantage of this situation by creating a style of your own. Don't mind what they wear... Wear something that's fashionable.. Shop at Zara, or Urban Outfitters, or Forever21. Be more high-end than those brands. I hate shopping at Hollister, A&E and AF because all their clothes are the same. You can buy one top and have probably a million of people in the world wearing the same one. iF you want to be like them too, see if you know something from Asia, because these brands are made there, and they sell it a lot cheaper there. I recently purchased a hollister winter jacket in the Philippines for $18 and i saw the exact same thing at the store here for $99.

i'll tell u this much--brands end up being mindless fads. here's how i see it-- how much were ppl obsessed with boy bands? i dont think everyone loved backstreet boys or nsync but they kinda just pretended to because loving a boy band was more of a trend. wearing holliser and AE and A&F is it's own trend u no.. and i guess the teenage yrs r the only yrs u can really wear all these clothes. ure not gonna wear this stuff in ur mid to late-20s, u no..
also, i think the whole "fitting in" thing plays a part.. peer pressure at it's best, kinda, huh?
like, abercrombie's here for now but gucci's for ever =D.
best to follow the dr. pepper slogan: "be you. do what you do."

I agree with you totally. Style is not about what brands you wear. I think it's good to wear off-brand clothes that reflect your personal taste. Some people are really unimaginative. There's a guy at my school who wears the same A&F shirt almost every day. It's disgusting.

All of those companies cater their brands to the young kids, about 12-30 yrs old. All the ads for those companies all feature the youth. They are quality clothes that look nice, thats why they all buy them. I bet your school looks like walking billboards for all 3 companies cause they have their logo all over each piece of clothing.

Because they are sheep?? I buy stuff from there if something's cute. But I know what you're saying! There are those people who have to have stuff with a label on it..or the name of the store on their shirt! Especially high school kids

Shopping at those stores is the one stop shop to looking sort of cool. A&E, Hollister, and A&F are all stores that sell crappy quality clothes at ridiculous prices. Anybody who knows jack sh*t about dressing well knows that these stores' clothes are crap.

i don't have an American Eagle close to me, yet each and each and every time i bypass to the mall through my Cousins' living house over the summer season in New Jersey i bypass there and save. they have lovable stuff. Hollister is a lot over-used and the stuff isn't even that large. all of it looks a similar, as do the females wearing it, and the textile is low-cost. the keep itself is so darkish, each and each and every time i bypass in there wondering i purchased a eco-friendly blouse, seems its pink. lol. So it is only fantastically a lot tacky. Abercrombie wins for me. it is classic in case you make the most of it the right way and combine it with different universal outfits. it is not that severe priced, honestly... you may get issues on sale for like $12. I only does not spend $one hundred thirty on a pair of jeans. So a million. Abercrombie, 2. American Eagle, 3. Hollister... yet i love Ruehl, perpetually 21, H&M, Delias, loose human beings, and then littler shops in NYC and London. Then there is dressmaker issues, which i don't have yet LOVE, like mark jacobs. i want Chloe ankle boots... Ugh i want a interest lol, thanks for reminding me. ok so i ramble on and on and on and that i'm dropping my time after I could be interpreting for Finals day after today. So bye<333 -Jasmine Lorelai ;]
