I pray for this every time I'm forced to watch that show. Wile E. Coyote doesn't seem so bad, just horribly hungry! And he's definitely more entertaining than the Road Runner.

While I have toyed with the idea of the Coyote finally catching the Road Runner, I think it would have ended the season prematurely. Besides that, the Coyote would have most likely been sued by the Road Runner's family for voluntary birdslaughter, followed by several injunctions from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and Pamela Anderson.
So as you can see, while the Road Runner would have made a tasty entree for E. Coyote, the civil actions that would have been incurred cancel out any of the real benefits of such a decision.

Believe it or not, Wile E. DID catch the Road Runner. In the 1980 episode "Soup or Sonic", both the Road Runner and Wile E. ran through a gradually reducing pipe until both of them were tiny. Wile E. realized what had happened, and allowed the Road Runner to run ahead of him back through the pipe. When they did, the Road Runner was back to his original size... while Wile E. remained tiny.
The Road Runner stopped in his tracks, letting Wile E. pass him. Then Wile E. realized his goal... and grabbed the leg. Just as he was about to enjoy his feast, that coyote soon found that he caught a GIGANTIC Road Runner, who bent down and beeped at him. Naturally, I thought Wile E. was about to panic right then and there, but then he turned to the audience and held up two signs: "Okay wise guys, you always wanted me to catch him. Now what do I do?"

That show could have gone on for years without the Coyote ever catching him
in the off chance that the Coyote ever got the chance to eat him....in a very gruesome episode of celebrity deathmatch....everyone would think that the Coyote had one after eating the roadrunner
until the roadrunner busts through the Coyote's chest leaving a huge mess everywhere.
I'd have to say yes and no, it's always nice to see the "underdog" win once in a while.....but why mess with a good thing?

I have always! wanted Wile E. Coyote to catch and then eat that damn Road Runner! I've always felt bad for the poor Coyote. If they did though, it would be the end of the show unless there were other Runners!!!

He did catch him once. It did him no good because Wile E. Coyote was about 2 inches tall and the roadrunner was full size.
I, for one, wish he would catch, marinate and barbQ that bird. That's good eating.

no i was on road runner side the coyote was stupid he just keep coming back for more just eat a road runner he shouldve tryied cathing slow animals but road did start toi get on my nerves with that beep beep sound he makes i wanted to see what hell do when he catch him but i dont know about him eating him he just catchem for a moment and road runner will get away

I would like Wile E. Coyote to catch the Roadrunner, give it a bit of a spank and send him on his merry way....

In the '70's there was a t-shirt that had a vulgar expression "Beep, beep my A$$! I'm gonna kill something!" - in which the Coyote caught the Roadrunner.

yes i did just to see what happens next.
but what i want to know is if wile e coyote had enough money to buy all those silly contraptions, why wouldn't he just buy dinner?
or better yet, why would he keep buying all those contraptions from the same company if they never worked and always backfired on him?
