Staind is no where close to being what the Stones are in my opinion they have a long way to go. Chili Peppers are closer to being more in the mainstream direction. So you are right on this one.

I've never even heard of them so obviously not..and i listen to most music at least once...I'd say U2 might be...even though their carrer spand a long time i guess, but their the only ones i cant think of right away that had good lasting hits.
