I remember when Clinton came into office American industries left the country or just went out of business.

In the last six years there have been alot of new companies created by entrepreneurs.

Will they leave or go out of business because of high taxes?

I'm sure alot of them will watch what happens in 2008 to figure out what their next move will be.

Industries will continue to leave the country regardless of which party is in control in the US. Outsourcing of any form leads to human work from outside the country. Regardless of party, trade, border, and other national policies will let continuing trends continue.
More companies may choose to outsource sooner due to their traditional tax policies. As the tax rates go up, the companies leave town or leave the country altogether. The reason why you hear those commercials about incorporating your business in AZ or TX or elsewhere is due to their no tax policies in those states.

This is a difficult question to answer. On one hand democrats do tend to increase taxes. However on the other hand Bush has been slashing taxes and borrowing money to offset the difference. Social security is in the red and no solution in site. It will be difficult to pay off the deficit Bush created without raising taxes sometime in the near future.

Some of us are not waiting that long.

Okay, I'll say it. The economy under Clinton was bad. Unless you owned stock in the baby tech boom.

The middle class all but disappeared. Middle management disappeared.

Middle aged people had to reinvent themselves, due to layoffs.

Are you actually suggesting that the economy under Clinton was bad?

Is this really the point you want to build your argument on?

Thanks to Nafta, that had support from BOTH parties, the siphening began.

Now with Bush in office, our trade deficit with China is 200 billion.

So don't blame the Democrats that were just elected, because of businesses leaving.

Democrats always chase Employers out of the country.
Or just bankrupt small companies and businesses.
They do it to prove to the AFL/CIO that they hate employers.
"Democrats Care".

Where have you been. Have you not heard of outsourcing, and importing cheap labor. I think some of you people must live on a different planet than I do.
