14 days after ovulation or about the time your period is due. The tests that say "5 days before missed period" are only about 60% accurate so save your money and wait til your period is late.

For me, I didnt want a negative or a false positive result. I wanted to be really sure, so I waited 6 weeks after my last period ended, and I got a real answer.
There are lots of brands of HPT they can detect the pregnancy hormone as little as 5 days of your missed period, but the choice is yours. Can't wait?, don't want to spend money you dont have on a urine test just to get an unsure answer???? Go to the clinic for a blood pregnancy test, they are accurate and will set your mind at ease.
Just note, HGB levels wont be noticeable until about 4-6 weeks after unprotected sex depending on your body everyones different, good luck.....

You can go to your doctor and get a blood test and it can tell you just days after conceiving. Urine tests (those administered by a doctor and the over-the-counter variety) can detect around the time of a missed period. Some claim to detect up to 5 days before your missed period; however, the odds of these giing an accurate result are smaller the sooner you test. I recommend if you are using a home pregnancy test to wait until about a week after a missed period for the most accurate results.
