6x-3(y-1)=4x+8
Multiply -3(y-1) , Giving
6x-3y+3=4x+8

Subtract 6x from both sides 6x-6x-3y+3=4x-6x+8
Giving
-3y+3=-2x+8

Subtract 3 from both sides -3y+3-3 = -2x+8-3
Giving
-3y = -2x+5

Divide both sides by -3
Giving y = -2x+5 / -3 or 2/3x-1 2/3

You don't learn by having some else do it. What will you do when at work the boss says to do something? You won't get someone else to do you thinking for you.
