You can deep fry anything, as long as you have a deep fat fryier thats large enough.

Yes and it is really good and it doesn't take as long to cook. They actually make turkey deep fryers and you use peanut oil in them. YOu can also inject the bird with your favorite sauces like garlic butter etc, makes it even better.
They run off of propane, same as your grill.

my uncle did it one year, he froze his butt off because you need to do it outside an away from the house so the oil doesnt start a fire.

Yes, with proper equipment.

Follow all the instructions and be very, very careful. And have a fire abatement system nearby--a regular fire extinguisher won't work on grease fires.

Make sure you use it outside, away from your house. My bro-in-law loves to use his deep fryer but it can cause fires easily. I always see him start fires on his driveway.
