I am young and I am ashamed to say, I missed my period and I have several reasons why:stress, messed up hormones and the fact that I have once, recently had sex with my current boyfriend for my first time, and a few times since then. One of those times were unprotected. I took a pregnancy test after my period was two weeks late, and it came back negative. A few days later, I had sever pain, stabing pain and cramping in my stomach bringing tears to my eyes, and I also had alot of discharge and bright red blood. Could I have been pregnant even though the test was negative, and is that what you would consider a miscarriage. I would appreciate it if someone could give me input. Im not sure exactly what happened.

Those at home pregnancy tests are not 100% accurate. However, with the hormones and stress, there is a good chance you were not pregnant.

Typically, during a miscarriage, there is a lot of pain (which you had) and clotting. If you did not have somewhat strangely (brown or gray) colored clots (or one or two big ones), then it was probably not a miscarriage.

To prevent any worries like this in the future, get on birth control if you can and ALWAYS use a condom. Have him pull out with the condom on, too, because ejaculation can break the condom.

One time I missed my period because I was so worried that I wouldn't get it. I was just under stress so I missed it and everything was fine. Try not to worry or life'll be a mess. Try telling someone and get it off your chest. It's hard, I know. If your pregnancy test was negative, you're probably okay. I don't know about the pain, maybe just a coincidence? The blood was probably your period anyways. Good luck.

You should make an appt to see your doctor.
Over the counter pregnancy tests aren't always accurate.
It may have been a miscarriage or maybe something else going on, that's why I suggested the doctor appt.

You could have an ectopic pregnancy. Sometimes those don't always turn the sticks. I would definately go get checked out because it is life threatening
