I find myself cursed because I can't see light any longer. I can't believe in love or happiness because when I see them I see pain. All that I know is falling apart around me and I can't stop it. All I feel any more is anger and sorrow. All I feel is pain and it never stops coming. Every thing I know is a curse to me because I only know Darkness. People have no understanding of this so they say "whatever" in disbelief. Others are scared of this so they stay clear of it. I don't know how to react any more. Every thing is a lie in this place. All that can be seen is a lie. There is no real emotion. Every thing is a contradiction. The only thing I see that is a truth is Darkness.

No Dark Angel, what you are feeling is not logical. But, maybe you are looking in the wrong place to find love and acceptance.

When I work with my peer group, we call what you are experiencing the black depression. Its a frightening place to find yourself.

But do not look to a website where people answer and ask questions for the hand you need to pull you up out of the dark. You need to talk to a professional...and REAL people. Its not that we are not real, I can sit here and see I am real, but I know nothing about anyone else.

I do think some people are very honest, very courageous to reach out and ask some hard questions, and that there are some very good people here. But others are very, very young and answering the questions seems to be a game to them. I can tell they have not really read the question by their answers and they say "whatever" because its worth two points.

Talk to your parents about how you feel, or a close friend, a minister, teacher, counselor...anyone...about how you feel. You need someone real to help you.

Having said that...I have had the black depression and I know its a hellish place to be. I do understand what you feel and would be glad to write more if you want to contact me.

Logic has nothing to do with it. You feel the way you feel. But the first step is recognizing the dark spiral you are drifting into. Sometimes this can be caused by a medical condition. But be sure to explore the possibility that your depression may be caused by mental anguish over things occurring in your life. My advice would be to seek out an homeopathic practitioner, and a psychologist that doesn't want to pump you full of drugs right away. Certain drugs may help you, but you need to find the source of your darkness first.
The people in your life, who are deserting you in your time of need, may not be able to deal with you because of their own demons and phobias. Try not to blame them.
We all despair, but we don't have to stay that way. You'd be surprised what good some menial things can do to pull you out of your dark hole. Some of the things that I do:

*Spring Cleaning (even if it's not Spring)
*Write your feelings down. Leave it alone for a few days then go back and read it.
*Let someone hold you, while you cry it out.
*Build something. Create something.
*Help someone with a difficult task.
*List your attributes. Your good qualities. If you are unable to think of any, ask your closest friend to list them. Then, everyday, look in the mirror and repeat these wonderful things about yourself.

Another thing I do... I have a tendency to beat myself up. If I do something stupid, I try to remember that I'm not stupid. I am a bright successful woman who simply made a mistake.

Yes, it's logical, but there IS a way out of all this, by going to see a psychologist, get an intake, and follow the suggestion of which therapy he/she says you would be best benefitted (sp?) by.

Sounds easy, it isn't!!
It involves a LOT of hard work, and a lot of set-backs, before you start to feel better.
Most important thing is that you must be able to take a long, hard look at yourself, and you must be able to realise that not everything bad is provoked by other people, YOU may be doing something in a destructive way yourself.

It doesn't make you the happiest person in the world, but it sure can take away that feeling of doom and gloom, which is a blessing in itself already.

Good luck.

You are suffering from depression. It is a real-live, actual, medically recognized illness. It causes people to think like you do. No light at the end of the tunnel. No foreseeable hope for the future. People suck. The world sucks. I suck. Everything sucks. Right? Wrong.
There IS help. There is a way out. Look up Depression Hotline.
You might be surprised. Best of luck to you.

Your feelings are no more or less logical than the way others feel. Feelings are individual and do not require logic. Feelings just are what they are.

Much of what you express indicates unhappiness, but as a young goth once explained to me, she found happiness in her unhappiness.

If you are happy with your unhappiness then you really don't have a problem; however, if you are unhappy then I hope you will afford yourself some assistance in getting to a place where you are happy.

There will be a "morning after" all of this pain and suffering. I know it is hard to imagine now. The depths of this anger and sorrow will create in you the ability to achieve great happiness and wisdom. Jesus had to go through the wilderness before he was prepared to taken on the path leading him back to the Father. In fact, I think almost all Saints have recognized that the path to heaven is often through hell. As John Lennon wrote:
"When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be."

As St. Augustine said: "our hearts are restless until they rest in Thee."

We were ultimately made for God, and our hearts cannot be satisfied with anything less than God.

The good things of this earth attract us because they are reflections of God.

They may give pleasure for a while and form distractions for us, but if we cling to them as ends in themselves, they will leave us empty.

It is related that Solomon in the Bible had his fill of all the things the earth had to offer, yet in the end he said: "It is all vanity."

Only God can give us the peace and fulfillment that we long for.

God put the good things of this earth here as tokens of His love and goodness.

They are meant to be stepping stones to Him, but if we turn them into idols, we will be disappointed.

God has created us for perfect, unimaginable, and eternal happiness in heaven.

But we must choose Him to attain that.

Greetings!

You see what you see and you feel what you feel. You are afraid.
Fear brings anger.
You want to give it a name (the curse) hoping it would be accepted and legitimate. (it won't)
Our life is ruled by its own design.
Take a giant step for yourself, and in time you could rule the world, sulk and you experience a long morose existence.

Good Luck

If you are speaking literally, and not just metaphorically, you must--I repeat, must-- get help immediately. You are suffering from extreme depression, a treatable medical condition, and you cannot overcome it yourself.
