It's Quartering Act. It allowed British troops to occupy private homes during the Revolution without payment. It relieved the English from providing housing for their troops, especially during winter. This aspect of the revolution led to the 3rd Amendment to the Constitution which forbids quartering of troops in private homes (with certain exceptions)
