Why is it that men like to pick up their women. Especially the ones that maybe a little heavy. Is it an ego thing. Have any of you actually under estimated your ability and actually hurt yourself?

I think it comes from fathers picking up their daughters. It is a sign of affection, trust, and caring.

I've never hurt myself but I could easily see my heart getting bigger than my eyes.

It a bit sad Men pick on women they claim they love with the acceptation of some helpful criticism which we both can use but it should never be done in a negative light
However you should look at yourself and work on those issues first as to truly love some one else you need to love your self first and that means taking care of your self
However a guy that always criticizes a lady should be dumped
as no lady deserves that unless she is into masochism.

It is a bit of an ego thing. But also, I pick up my wife when we are just playing around. She says she likes when I pick her up sometimes because it makes her feel safe like I'm big and strong (again, feeding the ego monster) Some times I do it when she says she's feeling fat. I pick her up and tell her she still feels light to me.

i personally never went for an over weight per say so i dont know what to say except it is fun to meet new woman it is good for our ego

i did when i was young . i thought it was a romantic thing to do . now i am a little older and a little wiser and let her keep her feet on the floor unless we are in bed.
