If I wait for a PS3, when's the next chance I can get one?

I don't want to wait in line for hours and I didn't pre order one, so if I wait for the next wave of PS3's, when will that be? When will there be a price drop?

Probably around 6 months to one year if you don't want to buy off of eBay.
