I was thinking about buying cd's from AFI and Billy Talent b/c the actual composition of their songs are good, but when i looked up the lyrics to their songs, they're all about pain and suffering! I can understand maybe 1 or 2 songs about pain, suffering, and suicide, but it seems like it's every single song from both of the bands. Isn't there a good punk band that sings about something different, something that i could listen to without getting depressed?

Well, I don't know if I would consider them punk, but the Pink Spiders have good songs. On the websites I've seen, they say that they're punk and soul. They have a very... unique sound.
